Br�ckner, Eduard

German geographer and climatologist, noted for studies of the Alps and of Pleistocene glaciation and climatic fluctuations. He was especially interested in the effect of the ice ages on the surface features of the Earth. The Brückner climatic period, postulated in 1887, was a 35-year period with fluctuations of damp-cold and
